e-sgh - Platforma e-learningowa

Online lectures are prepared only for SGH students. They have possibility to take some courses from educational offer as an e-learning lectures. (There are some exceptions for participation in econet project and lectures organized in cooperation with University of Illinois Springfield).

To register for e-learning lecture you should:

1. Choose the lecture during student's declaration in the Virtual Dean's Office (the complete list of online courses is available here: online lectures).
2. Access to the chosen e-courses is granted automatically by e-sgh platform at the beginning of semester. To start online lecture, student should simply log into the www.e-sgh.pl with the use of SGH login and password.

After the registration process in the Virtual Dean's Office, student gets the access to the e-learning modules prepared earlier by lecturer. This modules are regularly made available on the platform during the semester (usually every two weeks). The evaluation methods determined by the teacher are described in the first module and on the course website.

To complete the e-learning lecture student should actively participate in the online classes (by solving tests and tasks, taking part in online discussion etc.) Student's grades for online activity are published in the virtual assessment folder. Second element of a final grade is a final exam, which takes place (in a traditional way) in the campus class.

Student can participate in any number of online lectures, provided she/he has selected them during the semester declaration in in the Virtual Dean's Office.

From summer semester 2014/2015 the accounts to e-sgh system, for all of SGH students, are generated automatically. The students can simply use their SGH username and password received in the Candidate Service to log into the platform.

But:

1. To get the access to concrete course you have to choose this course in the Virtual Dean's Office during student's declaration.
2. To receive the access to the course webpage of a particular teacher in Niezbędnik e-sgh, you should use the link provided by the teacher in the classroom.

From summer semester 2014/2015 first semester students (bachelor, master and doctoral level) get the access to the e-learning trainings automatically, with the provision of student id number and email address in the domain sgh.waw.pl.

The students can simply use their SGH username and password to log into e-sgh platform (the same as for Virtual Dean's Office and for email in the cloud) and start the trainings. Students should make themselves acquainted with all the training materials and pass the obligatory test. Test answers are stored in the database, and the information on completion of training is passed to the Dean's Office. Detailed information on conditions of assessment are in training materials on the e-sgh platform.

ATTENTION!

• You have to pass the obligatory trainings to accomplish your first semester of study at SGH.
• The students who have graduated from the first-degree studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and accomplished all three above mentioned trainings - do not need to take the trainings again.
• The participants of first semester doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, are required to pass only free and obligatory e-learning Fundamentals of Intellectual Property Protection training. In addition, doctoral students have the opportunity to take optional online workshops: Occupational Health Safety Training (BHP) and Library Training.

Student, ask your teacher if she/he uses Niezbędnik. To receive the access to the course webpage of a particular teacher, please use the link provided by the teacher in the classroom. If the access to the subject require logging, the lecturer will give you a link to the registration form, which you must fill in (only once) to be registered for the course:

eg. http://www.e-sgh.pl/last_name_of_the_teacher/name_of_the_course/card.

If an access to the subject does not require logging, the lecturer will give you a link which should be used (in any internet browser) to download the content:

eg. http://www.e-sgh.pl/last_name_of_the_teacher/name_of_the_course/

Such kind of subject can be added by you to the list of subjects in your account (the "add to my courses" button).

Courses to which you are registered (or are added to your courses) are available after logging into the www.e-sgh.pl/niezbednik or www.e-sgh.pl.

The option "print" is accessible on the toolbar only when you are inside the particular module.

As an e-sgh user you can use a calendar, accessible on the toolbar when you are inside the particular module. In calendar you have possibility to set up a notification for required day. A notification will be send to You via email, 3 days before selected date.

When you properly filled in the application form and your account is activated (via the link sent in an email), you are automatically registered in the e-sgh system. During the registration for another course you should use the same username and password as before.

If your e-sgh account is integrated with SGH informatics systems, your username to e-sgh platform is the same as you use to log into the Virtual Dean's Office or SGH mail in the cloud.

If your e-sgh account is not integrated¹ with SGH informatics systems, your username to e-sgh platform is different than to Virtual Dean's Office or SGH mail in the cloud. The username looks like: name_surname (without any special signs).

If your e-sgh account is integrated with SGH informatics systems, your username to e-sgh platform is the same as you use to log into the Virtual Dean's Office or SGH mail in the cloud for students. In case of problems, please contact to User Helpdesk SGH.

If your e-sgh account is not integrated¹ with SGH informatics systems, your username to e-sgh platform is different than to Virtual Dean's Office or SGH mail in the cloud. The username looks like: name_surname (without any special signs). To recover your password, use the "forgot my password" option. After entering the correct username your password will be sent to the email address provided by you during the first registration in e-sgh system.

If your e-sgh account is integrated with SGH informatics systems, you can change the password only here:
https://admin.sgh.waw.pl/konto-en/haslo.

There is no possibility to change your email address. In case of problems with changing the password, please contact to User Helpdesk SGH.

If your e-sgh account is not integrated¹ with SGH informatics systems, you can change your email and password by using the options available on e-sgh platform.

To integrate your e-sgh account with the SGH account (for example to Virtual Dean's Office or mail in the cloud), you should log into the e-sgh platform or Niezbędnik e-sgh and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

E-sgh system requires that the web-browser accept cookies. Please, check if your browser accept them. We recommend you to use Chrome or Mozilla Firefox - free of charge internet browser.
